My true love raised his glass.
“Cheers to our 25th Christmas, our
future’s even brighter than our past.”
Warm up with a Hot Toddy and your Christmas Eve will be full of cheer. It’s one of the easiest winter cocktails and can be customized based on your preferences.
Start with 1.5 oz Brandy, Whiskey, or Rum. Add 1 Tbsp honey and juice from half a lemon. Add 1 cup hot water, a tea bag, and a cinnamon stick.
For a non-alcoholic version, steep your favorite tea and pour 7 oz into mug. Add 1 Tbsp honey, juice from half a lemon, a sprinkle of ground cloves and nutmeg, and a cinnamon stick.
Experiment with various tea flavors and brands. Add and subtract winter spices to make it perfect for your taste. Most black and green teas blend well. Cinnamon and spice teas are a favorite, too.
So, grab a mug of your favorite Hot Toddy and share a toast with your friends and loved ones. Christmas is just a wink away!
Our last guest for the season is a brand new friend of mine, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to her just in time for her next release.
Pretending with the Playboy by Tracey Livesay
Commitment makes you weak...
It’s playboy Carter Richardson’s motto. The only exception to the rule is his aunt, and when Carter learns she’s terminally ill, he rushes to her bedside. Filled with fear and guilt—and desperate to ease his aunt’s mind—Carter does the only thing a guy could do…he panics and blurts out that he’s engaged to his aunt’s enticing protégée.
Lauren Olsen has already had her heart crushed once by Carter. Against her better judgment, she agrees to keep up appearances—until Carter makes their “engagement” public in order to protect the family business. Now Lauren’s torn between obeying her conscience, and obeying her desire. Because while she could never trust the womanizing Carter she once knew, she seems to be falling for the man beneath the playboy…
